How to Handle Triggers & Dissociation While Working
Experiencing sexual violence is a form of trauma that, no matter what the circumstances were or how long ago it happened, can change the way we experience sex. This form of trauma has a profound impact on sex workers and how they can carry on with their work. In this talk we will examine how our minds process sexual trauma, what are triggers and how they can impact our mental, emotional and physical awareness, and then wrap up with strategies of how we can navigate triggers, such as dissociation, while on the job, and/or in our everyday lives.

This workshop facilitated by Jasmine Johnson, Psychotherapist and Adult Performer, will address the impact of bullying in the workplace, specifically sex work. We will discuss how to set boundaries personally and professionally; develop a plan to having an anti-bullying platform; and also educate consumers on appropriate ways to communicate with their favorite stars and NOT violate the Equality Act of 2010! That’s right, it is illegal to harass anyone at work, so let’s get into our rights and responsibilities at being civil behind the screen!

Pineapple Support162 views815 days agoSex and Self | Sponsored by Strip Chat, Clips4Sale, Loyalfans.com, Erotik.com, ePlay and Fleshlight When sexual difficulty occurs after a sexual trauma, it’s easy to understand why; but what about a car accident, natural disaster, or other non-sexual trauma? These too can impact our sexual experience and the reasons why, and way forward, can seem amorphous and difficult to navigate without a roadmap through this unfamiliar territory. In Sex After Trauma, we’ll explore the the biological connection between sexuality and post-traumatic stress along with applicable strategies to regulate the nervous system and move towards a sexual experience that feels both safe and connective. Participants can expect to walk away with a greater understanding of the relationship between sexual response and trauma response as well as tools to use both alone and with a partner to embody a more pleasurable sexual experience after living through trauma.
